Reshaping Healthcare:

The Campaign for the new Jersey City Medical Center
Nearly 250,000 patients every year seek the many and varied healthcare services of Jersey City Medical Center. As of May 16, 2004, those patients will receive those services in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility at Grand Street and Jersey Avenue, near Jersey City's ever-growing waterfront.

The new seven-story healthcare jewel of Jersey City has a cost of over $200 million. For the first time in our history since becoming a private, not-for-profit hospital in 1988, we are reaching out to the community and asking for your financial support for the future of healthcare in Hudson County. We have launched a capital fundraising effort entitled Reshaping Healthcare: The Campaign for the New Jersey City Medical Center to assist in achieving the goal of adding services, features, and equipment to an already state-of-the-art facility.

As part of our campaign efforts, LibertyHealth was awarded a challenge grant by the prestigious Kresge Foundation, the first ever awarded to a healthcare facility in Hudson County. It is called a challenge grant because we must raise the remainder of our Phase I campaign goal in order to receive $650,000 from the Kresge Foundation. Every individual donation we receive for the campaign, of whatever size, will count toward meeting the Kresge challenge.
In addition, commemorative naming opportunities are still available for various locations and artwork in the new Medical Center.
If you are interested in making a gift or would like additional information about the campaign, please call the Foundation Office at 201-915-2040.
