JERSEY CITY -
Jersey City Medical Center celebrated National Volunteer Week with an appreciation luncheon for its volunteers. Volunteers were invited to attend the celebration and were treated to a festive luau complete with a Hawaiian dancer.
Hospital administrators and staff were in attendance to personally thank the group for their dedication and service. Joseph F. Scott, President and CEO of LibertyHealth presented each volunteer with a certificate of appreciation and gift.
Jersey City Medical Center currently has more than 40 volunteers serving in various departments. These volunteers donated more than 17,000 hours of their time to the medical center in 2007.
The program is growing rapidly and welcomes new volunteers who want to make a difference in their community. Anyone interested in joining the Jersey City Medical Center team of volunteers, may contact the Volunteer Services Department at 201-915-2048.
