JCMC Volunteers at 14th Annual Newport Liberty Half Marathon
Stephen Kirby, acting president and CEO of Liberty Health (center) thanked Jersey City Medical Center employees who volunteered at the 14th Annual Newport Liberty Half Marathon for their contribution to the event. Christopher Munoz, Gabriel Garcia, Javier Peguero Yolanda Martinez, Larry Garcia, Leah Galang, Eugene Cepeda and Natalie Edwards (left to right) arrived at 6 a.m. to help register participants in the 13.1 mile half marathon and 5k run/walk. During the marathon, the volunteers helped with crowd control, distributed t-shirts and passed out water to participants. Thanks to Newport, proceeds from the event will benefit Jersey City Medical Center.
