JERSEY CITY MEDICAL CENTER PERINATAL NURSES HONORED FOR OUTSTANDING PATIENT CARE
The perinatal nurses of Jersey City Medical Center have been presented the Johnson’s® Childbirth Nursing Awards Certificate of Recognition for exceptional patient care. The nurses were nominated for this prestigious honor by a mother who delivered at Jersey City Medical Center in February.

“The perinatal nursing team strives to provide only the best care to expecting mothers and infants,” said Jersey City Medical Center Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services Rita Smith. “It is an absolute honor to be recognized by these highly regarded organizations for Jersey City Medical Center’s excellent service.”

Sponsored by the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), in partnership with Johnson & Johnson, the Johnson’s Childbirth Nursing Awards celebrate the exceptional care nurses provide to their patients. In addition to this honor, the perinatal nursing team is eligible for a $1,000 educational grant and is in the running for the 2008 Johnson’s Childbirth Nursing Award.
