The Jersey City Medical Center/Hudson County Community College
Paramedic Program offers state-of-the-art classroom technology,
inventive teaching approaches and hands-on, assessment-focused clinical
experiences in one of the busiest and most diverse settings in the
country.
The new Jersey City Medical Center provides our students with a
unique learning opportunity, as it houses the nationally recognized
Heroes of September 11 Trauma Center, provides Advanced Life Support
EMS for Hudson County and features the most modern emergency department
and cardiac catheterization center in the State of New Jersey.
Our focus is on educating competent, confident and compassionate
Paramedics who will serve the sick and injured in our local communities.
The JCMC/HCCC paramedic program stresses that students demonstrate
strong interpersonal skills, sound moral and ethical character,
critical thinking abilities, and the capacity for making quick and
appropriate decisions regarding patient care. As professional healthcare
providers, JCMC/HCCC paramedic graduates are taught how to interact
effectively with other emergency services personnel, to be dynamic
leaders, to value life-long learning and personal development, and
above all to respect and sustain human life.
